Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Rental Blacklist service processes, on what basis, and what rights are available to service users and to people referenced in published submissions.
Effective as of July 11, 2026.
1. What data we process
We process two kinds of data: (1) account data — the name and email address obtained when you sign in with Google; (2) submission content — the property address, coordinates, description, photos, and severity level provided by the submitting user. A submission's description may include information about a third party — the property's owner or landlord.
2. Legal basis
Account data is processed based on the consent you give when signing in with Google and using the service. Information a submitter includes in a request, including information about third parties, is published on that submitter's own initiative and responsibility — the service acts as a technical platform for publishing it, not as the source of that information.
3. If information about you has been published
We do not, and cannot, request consent from the person a submission is about — doing so would defeat the service's purpose of warning prospective tenants. If you believe an entry about you has been published on the service, you may request a copy of the information about you, request a correction if it is factually inaccurate, or request removal if its accuracy cannot be substantiated. See section 7 of the Terms of Service for the dispute process.
4. Storage and security
Data is stored on servers operated by the service administration, with role-based access control and encrypted connections. Data is retained until an entry is removed following a dispute, or until a user deletes their own account.
5. Sharing with third parties
The service relies on third-party technical providers: Google (authentication), Cloudflare Turnstile (form spam protection), and a hosting provider. These services may process some technical data (IP address, session identifiers) under their own privacy policies. We do not sell or share user data with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Your rights as a user
You can view your submissions and the moderator comment history for them under "My requests", and you can request deletion of your account and associated data via the Feedback form.
7. Cookies
We use only technical cookies required for authentication and remembering your selected interface language. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy at any time; the current version is always available at this address.
9. Contact
